Kwame, a seasoned technology executive with over 25 years of experience, is the driving force behind Sankofa Atlanta, an innovative fine dining Afro Fusion restaurant. Kwame's distinguished career includes leading large, complex teams and consulting for Fortune 100 companies such as Disney, AT&T, and EY. He has successfully delivered technology solutions that add significant value, leveraging his expertise in continuous improvement and product management.

Kwame's extensive experience spans pioneering software engineering, driving digital transformations, and leading large-scale enterprise programs. At companies such as Vodafone Group and Best Buy, he managed multi-channel product and software engineering teams, significantly enhancing customer experiences and achieving key strategic objectives. His leadership roles showcase his ability to build high-performing teams, execute product strategies, and leverage data insights for transformative technology-driven innovations. He holds dual degrees in Applied Physics from Morehouse College and Electrical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.

With a passion for technology and a deep love for African culinary traditions, Kwame is committed, as part of the management team at Sankofa, to creating a refined and memorable dining experience. His leadership ensures that Sankofa not only offers exceptional cuisine but also exemplifies outstanding service and meticulous attention to detail for the best experience.

Kelli Ferrell


Starting with a vision board, Kelli Ferrell imagined her restaurant without having a culinary background, only a love of bringing people together through food. Armed with her family's time tested recipes, she encountered more people asking her “why” and telling her “no” than the “yes” she needed to hear. Through grit and sheer determination, Kelli is now celebrating just under 10 years of restaurant ownership.

Kelli and her team will lead culinary and all operations at Sankofa. Our team of highly skilled and passionate individuals share a deep love for the rich culinary traditions of the continent. Our executive chef has extensive experience in creating innovative and contemporary dishes that showcase the diversity of African cuisine.

Our management team has a keen eye for detail and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service, and a marketing expert who is passionate about promoting the unique dining experience to a wider audience. Together, this team is dedicated to creating a refined and memorable dining experience that showcases the best of African cuisine and culture, while also delivering outstanding service and attention to detail.

Stella Onifade

Stella, a dynamic leader in the hospitality sector, brings a unique blend of skills as an experienced hospitality consultant, interior designer, and creative professional. With over a decade of experience in the food and beverage industry, she has successfully managed and launched engaging new brand experiences for a diverse clientele. Her recent contribution to the successful launch of Tulum Restaurant, where she oversaw all aspects of daily operations, showcases her comprehensive expertise and commitment to excellence. Stella's multifaceted approach and proven track record in operational management and design innovation will be instrumental in driving Sankofa's success.

Kwame Amfo

Kwame Amfo’s passion and dedication to the culinary arts shine through in his distinctive and consistent service. Beyond his culinary skills, Kwame's humor, vibrant personality, and ambition, combined with an exceptional eye and palate for food, set his ventures, including his private chef company and the Biishville brand, apart. As the executive chef, Kwame will be instrumental in helping with the launch and setting up the menu for the Sankofa Atlanta fine dining Afro Fusion restaurant. His experience includes hosting pop-up events titled "A Taste of Africa" in major cities like Lagos, London, New York, and Accra, where guests enjoy an immersive culinary experience enriched with cultural art and music. Kwame’s unique flair and expertise promise to create an unforgettable dining experience at Sankofa.
